This sculpture originated from an interest in the idea of order and disorder. Without being seen as opposite ideas, the natural world of trees, plants, and flowers has a wild and unpredictable feel. While the world of human made objects can feel manufactured and rectangular. But there is mathematical order in the growth of nature that is calculated and precise and there can be a curvilinear fluidity in the manufacture of objects. Private Conversation seeks to exist in the meeting of these two ideas.
